What's available
Two tiers of placement, both clearly labeled Sponsored and both rotating alongside our organic editorial picks.
Hero billboard — up to 5 slots
The full-bleed, rotating showcase at the absolute top of the home page. Above the rankings, above the categories, above everything else. Up to five slots run in rotation; each one is the first thing every visitor sees. Buy one, or buy the whole hero.
Editorial band — Hero Board 2
A full-bleed editorial slot positioned directly under the live "Top of the internet" ranking — the second piece of hero real estate every visitor scrolls into. One sponsor at a time, clearly labeled Sponsored, with your image, headline, and outbound link.
Category hero banner — one per category page
The full-bleed AI-generated banner at the top of any individual category page (e.g. /categories/fashion, /categories/ai, /categories/finance). Replace the default editorial image with your brand visual for the duration of the run, with a Sponsored disclosure under the banner. One sponsor per category at a time.
Category headliner — #1 position of any rail
The leading (leftmost / topmost) card of any home-page rail. Available on: Big Six, Editors' Picks, Rising, Hot, New, Travel, Games, Worth Bookmarking, Deep Cuts, and the daily Themed collection. One headliner per rail.
Inventory is finite and first-come. Your inquiry reply will confirm which slots are currently open.
What we protect
Organic ranking is not for sale at any price. The Hot, New, Rising, and Overall scores are computed automatically from public signals — Tranco, Hacker News, GitHub, RSS, and click velocity on this site. There is no editorial override. There is no back channel.
A Sponsored placement lives in its own lane: a dedicated, labeled slot that rotates with organic picks. It does not change your scores. It does not change anyone else's scores. What you are buying is visibility, not influence — and that's exactly what makes it worth buying.
How it works
This is a white-glove, manual process — every slot is placed by hand.
- Email starnestsocial@gmail.com with your domain, your preferred placement (hero, or a specific category headliner), your desired run length, and your approximate budget. There is no public rate card; pricing reflects placement, current inventory, and commitment length.
- We review your site for fit and reply with availability and a flat rate — typically within one business day.
- Once terms are agreed and payment is confirmed, we place your slot manually. It goes live within a business day, complete with the Sponsored badge and disclosure. We handle everything.
Our labeling standard
Every paid placement carries a visible Sponsored badge directly on the slide. A disclosure footnote appears below the billboard whenever a sponsored site is in rotation. We use the word "Sponsored" — not "Featured" or "Partner" — in accordance with U.S. FTC disclosure norms.
Transparency is not a compromise. It is the standard that lets a premium placement coexist with the trust of the index — and the reason your placement actually means something when readers see it.
What we decline
We reserve sole discretion to decline or remove any placement at any time. When removal is at our initiative for the reasons below, unused time is refunded pro-rata. We do not accept:
- Scams, MLM recruitment, or deceptive offers.
- Adult content, gambling, or unregulated financial schemes.
- Malware, phishing, or anything that puts visitors at risk.
- Anything illegal in the United States.
- Anything inconsistent with the integrity of the index.
