Fresh finds added this week

It is a dense, academic corner of the web where experts try to fix the messy intersection of law and politics without losing their minds.

They have a sibling site called State Court Report that focuses on the legal battles happening at the state level. While everyone looks at the Supreme Court, these people are watching the local judges who actually decide how your life works. It is the perfect place to go if you want to understand why your state's constitution reads like a frantic rough draft.

On the aesthetic side of things, DesignWorks Group out of Wichita Falls is now in the index. They are an advertising agency that handles the visual storytelling for businesses that realized their DIY logos weren't cutting it anymore. They do the polished, professional work that keeps the commercial gears grinding in Texas.

Finally, we added Metabolic Studio, which is significantly harder to categorize. They describe themselves as an interdisciplinary research hub, but it looks more like a high-concept art project focused on environmental repair. It is the kind of place where people use cameras made of trash to document the end of the world.
